Testimonials
The Taking Learning Outdoors course in Schilpario was fantastic. Packed full of relevant experiential and outdoor learning activities and tasks, with lots of group dynamics and team building exercises.

Also, this was accompaninied by stimulating and active evaluation and review techniques.... All of which can be adapted and used in school.

In addition; the setting was amazing; the hosts were genuinely brilliant people and most of all;- it was great fun!

I can't recommend it highly enough!

Big thanks to Irene, Ally and all course participants who helped make the week such a rich and memorable experience.

What We Offer

Journeys

Three or five day walking journeys, with group size between 6 and 12 people.

The three day journeys begin on Friday evening with dinner and end on Monday evening with dinner; the five day journeys begin on Saturday evening with dinner, and end on Thursday evening with dinner. (Participants can stay until the following morning for a small additional charge.)

Journey themes

Themes and topics explored will include;

  • communication
  • self-awareness
  • personal and interpersonal relationships
  • personal reflection
  • group dynamics
  • self-esteem motivation

By exploring and reflecting on the above, the journeys enable participants to find a balance to deal with the competing demands and stresses of the hectic modern world. Our aim is that each day will encompass a physical, mental and emotional journey, leaving you feeling revitalised and reenergised!

A Typical Day

After breakfast, participants are fully briefed on the day’s walking route before setting off. Then, as the journey progresses, there is time to undertake activities and to enjoy the views, wildlife, flora, fauna and geography of the area. We take a picnic lunch for a leisurely outdoor stop. We are back at our accommodation with time to relax and reflect before dinner; after dinner, activities vary – perhaps the group will want free time to relax, to develop some of the day’s activities, or to go out and about to enjoy some of the local opportunities on offer.

Fitness

A general level of fitness is required – we cover approx 10 miles/day on recognised track and paths. Please send an enquiry if you have any questions or concerns.
