Testimonials
I spent five days completing the residential part of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award with Ally and Irene in Aviemore. It was an amazing experience and a great chance to have loads have fun and meet new people! It wouldn’t be DofE without some challenges, and there were certainly plenty of them, whether it was completing complicated puzzles or having to build a complex structure without talking to your team or climbing on the high wire. An all round exciting and stunning experience! Thanks Ally and Irene.

What We Offer

Journeys

Three or five day walking journeys, with group size between 6 and 12 people.

The three day journeys begin on Friday evening with dinner and end on Monday evening with dinner; the five day journeys begin on Saturday evening with dinner, and end on Thursday evening with dinner. (Participants can stay until the following morning for a small additional charge.)

Journey themes

Themes and topics explored will include;

  • communication
  • self-awareness
  • personal and interpersonal relationships
  • personal reflection
  • group dynamics
  • self-esteem motivation

By exploring and reflecting on the above, the journeys enable participants to find a balance to deal with the competing demands and stresses of the hectic modern world. Our aim is that each day will encompass a physical, mental and emotional journey, leaving you feeling revitalised and reenergised!

A Typical Day

After breakfast, participants are fully briefed on the day’s walking route before setting off. Then, as the journey progresses, there is time to undertake activities and to enjoy the views, wildlife, flora, fauna and geography of the area. We take a picnic lunch for a leisurely outdoor stop. We are back at our accommodation with time to relax and reflect before dinner; after dinner, activities vary – perhaps the group will want free time to relax, to develop some of the day’s activities, or to go out and about to enjoy some of the local opportunities on offer.

Fitness

A general level of fitness is required – we cover approx 10 miles/day on recognised track and paths. Please send an enquiry if you have any questions or concerns.
